
Pete Morford joined the Feldman Board for the 2013-2014 season, becoming President for the 2014-2015 season. He brings to the Feldman a wealth of experience in leadership and strategic planning along with a deep appreciation for the beauty and value of classical music.
Pete served in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained surface warfare officer leading organizations ranging in size from an eight-person project team to a 750-person training organization. Pete’s eight tours at sea include command of USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) in Sasebo, Japan and duty as Reactor Officer in the aircraft carrier USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in San Diego, California. A member of the Federal civil service, he is currently serving as Deputy Director for the US Navy’s Afloat Training Group, Atlantic.
Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the George Washington University. He is also a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a proud 2014 graduate of Tidewater Community College’s Academy of Nonprofit Excellence certificate in nonprofit management program.
