Feldman Annual Letter

Dear Friends of the Feldman!

We are delighted to announce our 2022-2023 season with another great lineup of live music performed by some of the world’s finest musicians!

Our Season. We will begin with the Los Angeles Piano Trio, followed by the Poulenc Trio featuring a unique combination of bassoon, oboe, and piano. Next, the Manhattan Chamber Players will bring us a piano quartet, while February sees the acclaimed Verona Quartet. We’ll close the season with the return of two of our favorite ensembles: the Dover Quartet, and then the Hermitage Piano Trio.

Safety. This past season, we relearned the irreplaceable joy of hearing music performed live. That said, the safety of our patrons and our guest artists must always come first: we will continue to follow public health guidelines and those of our hosts at the Chrysler Museum of Art concerning Covid precautions. At the time of this writing, the following applies:

  • Masks are not required but are highly recommended
  • Attendance will be limited to 50% capacity. Season ticket sales will be capped at 150
  • Guests will be encouraged to observe social distancing to the maximum extent possible
  • Unvaccinated guests, guests experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, or otherwise not feeling well will be asked to come back at another time (honor system)

We will revisit these measures as this unpredictable and unprecedented situation continues to evolve. Please be sure to include an email address on your order form so we can reach you should there be any last-minute changes, to include those caused by weather. We will also communicate changes via our website, our phoneline (757-552-1630), and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

The Importance of Your Role. There are a couple of things you can do to help ensure this wonderful tradition of bringing the world’s best chamber music to Hampton Roads continues. Please help us spread the word by bringing a friend to a concert. And with the affordable presentation of music being challenged by inflation, if you are able, please consider making a donation with your ticket purchase. With ticket sales covering less than half the cost of the music, every gift – no matter how small – is deeply appreciated and will help assure the continuation of this regional treasure.

We couldn’t enjoy this music without you, so thank you for supporting the Feldman. We look forward to seeing you at our first concert on Monday, September 19th at 7:30pm!

All the best,

Pete Morford
