The Feldman Chamber Music Society
endeavors to bring the best in chamber music to Hampton
Roads. Originally founded in 1946, the Feldman Chamber Music
Society supported the Feldman Quartet, organized by noted string
teacher I.E. Feldman, for thirty-nine seasons. Since the
1986-87 season, the Society has presented nationally and
internationally acclaimed chamber groups. The Feldman is
funded through membership support, individual ticket sales and the
generous contributions of its friends and sponsors.
The Feldman Chamber Music Society
is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organization, and all
contributions to both the Operating Fund and the Endowment Fund are
tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law and IRS
regulations.
The Operating Fund meets 50% of the
need of each and every concert. Contributions in any amount are
welcomed and deeply appreciated.
In order to add long-term funding
stability to the Feldman, the Board of Directors of the Feldman
Chamber Music Society established an Endowment Fund. This fund is
administered by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, which
invests the money together with other such funds under its
administration to provide both income and capital appreciation.
This income has provided an ever-increasing percentage of our need.
Contributions to the Endowment Fund may be made in any amount and
will be recognized in our program.
The Feldman Chamber Music Society
is supported in part by a grant from the Business
